I paid $2,000 to fix a problem... and I’d do it again
This past weekend, Rohan and I bought a mattress. Not just any mattress. A Sleeping Duck Mattress (IYKYK), full set, two fancy pillows, bonus sheets, and a blissful future of not waking up feeling like I got hit by a truck. We’ve had our old mattress for almost a decade. My hips and shoulders were protesting like union workers. It was time. Now, the beautiful thing about my husband? He’s a researcher. The man doesn’t just buy a thing; he studies it. Reads the reviews. Watches demo videos. Knows the warranty policy off by heart as well as the brand's backstory in aerodynamic research (seriously). So, by the time we walked into the showroom (him carrying his own pillow for testing, obviously), the decision had already been made. We were just ticking boxes between “lie down” and “let’s pay.” The poor saleswoman didn’t know what to do with us. No questions, no small talk, we lay down, sighed in relief, and asked where to tap. Our problem? Bad sleep. But actually... that’s not the real problem. It’s the string of awful workdays that follow. The grumpiness. The sore shoulders. The brain fog. The bad moods. The missed workouts. The way it sneaks into every part of life until your body makes you do something about it. So when the price came up, $2K for the mattress, pillows, sheets, we didn’t flinch. Because we weren’t buying a mattress. We were buying better days, more energy, and a solution to the thing that was costing us more than we’d realised. This is what I just talked about in The $10K Monthly Method workshop:💡 People pay to make their problems go away. Have a think about your skills, your expertise, your services and start asking yourself:
